Have you ever counted the number of businesses located within 1 KM of where you live?
It's likely not something most of us think about. If we need milk fast, we go to the closest convenience store. Our son's haircut (which is about 4 weeks past due) we look for a convenient hairdresser. Pizza for supper? What pizza pad is on the way home? But, within my immediate radius there are also many stores that I have never frequented. In fact, there are more than 215 stores located within a 1 km radius of my postal code in the small city where I live! This revelation, led me to three conclusions
1. I don't shop enough (some would argue this fact)
2. Consumers need an easy way to find out about stores in their radius and
3. How can small businesses market their products and services to consumers in their radius in a fast and convenient method.
